Hi all, it’s me, Charlie, with an update on a few changes to this year’s Quickdraw Festival.
We all know things are difficult these days, so we are making a request for an early balance payment. Your very much appreciated response has allowed us to respond to our suppliers’ requests for more money and higher deposits. This means that all’s well and this year’s festival is all set to be fantastic, as usual. Pretty much all is the same, the same marquee but a little bigger for your comfort, mostly the same tremendous line up but with a few more acts. I had a thought that there are a lot of line dance “newbies” out there and maybe a beginner class would be fun. So if you think it’s a good idea and someone out there wants to help the ever-growing country music and dance fans, I will need a teacher. Now for the big change.The site at Overstone is a great venue but last year threw up challenges that I wasn’t comfortable with, and some some that might affect the wellbeing and safety of the people going forward. I’ve done a lot of soul searching and had discussions with the team and other people about how it could affect my beloved Quickdraw Festival. In the end I decided to approach the owners of the original home of the Festival for some 20 years, known to most as the Earls Barton venue. This established festival site has grown and brings a lot of advantages for the festival goers, with easy access to the local shops and pubs in Earls Barton, plus an onsite café and farm shop. We have reached an agreement and Quickdraw is moving back !!
To those new to Quickdraw Festival the site is about 2 miles from the old Overstone site and is just off the A45 between Wellingborough and Northampton. The address is:-

I hope the move will not distress anyone too much, and that you are all as excited as I am for this years Festival. The Quickdraw team are all looking forward to seeing you in August.
